Student First Aid (Level 2)
Who is this for?
Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils (typically age 11+) in secondary schools and youth settings who need to meet the Department for Education requirement for basic first aid education.
Description
A short, practical course giving young people the confidence and skills to recognise common first aid emergencies and get help quickly. The qualification supports the statutory health education curriculum and focuses on simple, memorable actions that students can use in real life.
What you'll learn
- How to recognise an emergency, get help, and keep themselves and others safe.
- How to perform CPR, use an AED safely and deal with choking.
- Basic treatment for common injuries such as bleeding, head injuries, fractures, sprains/strains and shock.
Course Duration
½ day (typically 3 guided learning hours), scheduled to suit your shift patterns and operational needs.
Certification
Ofqual-regulated FAA Level 2 Award in Student First Aid (RQF), valid for 3 years.
