Who is this for?

All employees in any workplace who need a basic understanding of fire safety, especially new starters or staff who have not had recent fire training.

Description

An introductory, half-day workshop that builds essential fire safety awareness and supports your legal duty to train staff under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Learners gain a clear understanding of how fires start, how to reduce everyday fire risks, and what to do if a fire occurs, providing a strong foundation for anyone who may later take on fire warden or marshal duties.

What you'll learn

• Common causes and behaviour of fire, and the basics of fire legislation and individual responsibilities.
• Practical fire prevention measures, good housekeeping and what to do if a fire breaks out, including evacuation procedures.
• Awareness of fire safety equipment including fire extinguishers and how they should be used safely in an emergency (with practical extinguisher use, subject to site suitability and chosen package).
